Can't call US 800 customer service number with US-Canada plan

I have a US-Canada plan, and I am currently in US (Massachusetts) and trying to can the number of a US gas company (800-592-2000), however, it does not go through. When I dial in 1-800-592-2000, the call goes to a Canadian number instead, and they are not the company that I'm trying to reach.

Please share any tips that might help, thanks so much!

Toll-free numbers are country-specific and won’t work from another country unless the company has set up matching numbers for both countries.  You often see separate 800 numbers for the US and Canada for this reason.

@Athena246 An alternative way would be get TextNow (free) and a Mass number. Call them through that app.

@Athena246  Unfortunately not all 1-800 number can be dialed with public mobile . Anyway you can email them instead or use a friends phone in the U.S. to make the call
