Was on trip and used foreign SIM card. Upon return reinstalled public SIM card in iPhone SE but sms texting to non iPhone users will not work. iMessages work fine and I can receive sms messages but cannot reply or send. I have toggled phone, airplane mode on and off, have checked phone number, toggled text messaging on and off. I do see RCS messaging toggle is waiting for activation but has been waiting for over 24 hours. Have reset phone settings as well but still no luck. Have removed and cleaned and reinserted SIM card and no luck. What else can u try?

Just went back to check my active sim line and there were two with the same phone number so I assumed they were the same one. Turned one of them off and I am now back in business. Thanks for your help!!

hi @Jakkle does iMessage work and just not SMS? if so, doable Send Text Message first, reboot and enable it back and test

Thank you,
had checked all that and everything shows the previous sim card as being removed with my original sim and primary number checked as the active one.

Hey @Jakkle
Since you have an iPhone, go into Settings and enter in the search up top, Reset Network Settings. Then reset them and restart your phone with the SIM card inside. See if this helps resolve the matter.

hi @Jakkle make sure you remove the travel sim, or disable the travel esim by turning off "Turn on this line"
then reboot phone and make sure PM sim is the only sim there and set as Primary and Turn on this line is enabled for the PM sim
