Can I get my old public mobile number back

I changed my number due to constant spam callers but so many things were linked to that phone number and I was wondering if I could get my phone number back.

I'll be more direct- it's extremely unlikely.

There's a small, small chance if the number was originally assigned by a Telus group of companies, including Telus,  Koodo or public mobile. 

Otherwise, there is no chance.
