I received a couple of texts in the car today (my system reads them out to me - so it's all hands free). I also made three calls (hands free). Two calls connected, and the third one, a local number, as were the other two, didn't connect. A voice message said something like "Hi, this is Public Mobile. Talk is not included in your package. If you want talk ...... etc." It all connected well with my Bluetooth, but this last bit was really strange as I do have a talk, text and data plan. I haven't found anything similar in the posts.

It's always been the case that if you don't have 1 in front of the area code and you dial a long distance number, it will always tell you you've dialled a long distance number. Depending on the carrier, they will automatically connect you or they will tell you to redial the number.
Yes, with respect to the "+250" it was a suggestion from another community member, I suspect probably a typo.

I tested the + in front of the area code which should never be how phone numbers are saved and it does give the "talk is not included" error.
example, if you are dialling someone in Toronto and the area code is 416... +416-xxx-xxxx most likely is confusing the phone system and it thinks you are trying to dial an international number.

This may or may not be the cause, but I was experimenting with calls last week to see what would avoid the "Your call will be connected" long distance message. Numbers prefaced with "+" other than +1 would get the same message that you are receiving. For example (from area code 604):
1-250-xxx-xxxx - dials immediately
+1-250-xxx-xxxx - dials immediately
250-xxx-xxxx - PM message about "Your call will complete, LD charges may apply" then call dials
+250-xxx-xxxx - PM message "Talk is not included"
You might want to check the numbers that were not completing to see if this is the problem.

Not sure if it's recurring. I'm new to PM, and today was the first time I had occasion to use it in the car. It may just be a glitch as @hummuschips suggested, as the other 2 calls went through perfectly. Great response from the community, and I appreciate it.

I doubt it has anything to do with calling over Bluetooth. It was probably a system glitch when you were calling. If it reoccurs I would open a support case with public mobile.

Is it reoccuring?
