I have a new Iphone 13 Pro (never had a phone before). I put in the SIM card, received a new phone number, activated my account, paid the first month - should be good to go? But I cannot get the phone to work; when I dial my daughter, the call fails. Help!

@PMT Where did you buy the iPhone ? from Apple store or from mobile carrier?
If you got it from private sell, please check if the phone is blacklisted (should be good, but check for the peace of mind):

Also, try to put your PM sim in another phone and test it out to see if it works

@PMT - try restarting your phone with the Public Mobile SIM card in it.
Also, remove and reinsert your SIM card, if the reboot does not reset your network.
Can you call 611 to confirm your account is ACTIVE?
Is texting in/out working (not iMessage), i mean SMS.

Have you tried connecting to wifi and going into settings - general - about - to see if anything pops up?

HI @PMT Check the Carrier profile, make sure it shows Public Mobile Also, update for the latest version
Then reboot and try again
And, do you see any network signal on the phone? does it shows connected to PM?
