Calling Iran (urgent)

I’m writing to inquire about an urgent calling issue that seems related to the current situation in Iran. When someone calls me from Iran, they can hear the ringing, but they cannot hear my voice once I answer. Also, when I try to call back to Iran, I often hear an automated message saying something like: “This is Public Mobile… the call cannot be completed, please check the number,” even though the number is correct and has worked before.

Because of the emergency situation, I need reliable communication with my family and contacts in Iran. Could you please investigate whether there are any routing or international calling restrictions/issues affecting calls to/from Iran, and advise on any steps you can take to improve call connectivity? We need your support in this matter according to the current situation in Iran.

Try to understand the customer request. I am asking to add this service to your customer for this current circumstance. I was totally aware that Public Mobile currently doesn’t offer this service. That’s why I write this to ask Public Mobile to add this service temporary given the current situation in Iran.

please try to understand...Public Mobile has no plan or add-on that will facilitate calls to Iran. You'll need to go to 7-11 and buy a calling card...or search for an on-line calling card. Maybe Telus or Kodoo has calling to that area. Just be aware that you won't be able to call Iran with your Public Mobile account.

I'm not interested in an international add-on. While this option reduces costs and improves the connection, I want to understand why we can't call them (even if it incurs a higher fee) or why they can't contact us properly.

Hi, I have a friend who communicates with is family in Teheran using WhatsApp.

WhatsApp could be a option for you.

sorry, PM does not offer Long Distance calling to Iran.  The International add-on can only call selected countries but not all, and Iran is not part of it

you will need to buy a calling card from convenience  store to make the calls to Iran

You can call Iran ONLY if long dist add-on allows it.

But Unfortunately Iran is not listed in any add-on from PM. 😞 so you will not be able to call.

Try using calling cards?
