@CS_Agent Cannot text from IoS to android

Please help - new phone and cannot text. Your link to send a ticket also does not work.

I can call but not text.

@Britgirl77 - sounds like you are an android user?

Both iMessage and Chat Features (RCS Chats) require a wifi connection or data enabled to send/receive texts.

  • if you are using android and you use Chat Features, then I suggest you turn that off, as it requires wifi or data to send/receive texts.

Disable your Chat Features (RCS Chats): 

  1. Open Messages
  2. Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
  3. Turn Enable chat features off

Go to the imessage settings and turn on send as sms and send as mms. By default, imessage uses their own internal instant messaging system that needs the internet and only works between some idevices. Sending to non-idevices needs to use the good old standard sms texting.

just text? voice and data work?

are you using IMessage or RCS or SMS text? try to enable mobile network

and try Reset all networks

And submit ticket to cs agent if text still not working
