I started using Public in September on my old Sony Xperia and I was getting excellent reception and transmission, even in my basement. In November, I bought a new Google Pixel 3 and was having so-so reception, and horrible transmission everywhere. I thought it was the new phone since my provider hadn't changed, so I complained to Google and they sent me a replacement phone. The replacement phone is slightly better but still has terrible transmission and spotty reception, especially in my basement. Again, I thought it was the phone, but then I realized that calls that were on WiFi instead of on Public Mobile (i.e. WhatsApp or Skype) are fine when I'm at home. The weird thing is that I wasn't having trouble before I switched phones, and my sister is also on Public Mobile and has no problems whatsoever. It's very frustrating as every single call I have has breaks in transmission and reception, especially in my basement. Help?

@jzh045 you are not alone. This is driving me nuts...now on my 3rd Pixel 3 (Google sent replacement units).
Call quality sucks (ranging from garbled voice to dropped calls) in specific areas, including my home (Montreal).

@Shutdown that article is about the 1st gen Pixel devices, released in 2016. @jzh045 is using a 3rd gen, released 2018.
@jzh045 this seems to be a common issue. More here:

Quick google showed me this https://www.techjunkie.com/google-pixel-and-pixel-xl-signal-problems/ so very likely phone problem. It's more likely software then hardware issue I think. Try factory resetting phone while PM sim is in?
