My data speed is very slow/inconsistent. When I did a speed test using Ookla it takes forever to connect and I got over 100ms response.
The signal strength indicator is normal, which is misleading.
Is anyone else experiencing this right now?

Thanks. As you can tell I am new to this... However slow downlead is still slow download and zero downlead is still zero. Tried several times over the last few days to download a simple (small) zip file and when they actually manage to download they come in so corrupted that Windows swears they are empty. Eventried my old 3G phone and actually got the same speed..

100ms isn't a measure of speed. It's a measure of latency/delay. 100ms is actually really bad for a high speed connection.

100 ms? Are you kidding me? I'd kill for that right now. Here in New Brunswick we use Bell towers. I just shifted from Bell landline to Public 5G 3 months ago for promised higher speeds. Bought an new 5G phone. Tower is 3-4 kms distant. First weeks I got speeds of up to 10 gbs which was twice what Bell was giving on the landline and I thought I was in heaven. Last 2 - 3 weeks weeks it has dropped steadily until you can't do anything and I mean anything. And extremely variable. Yesterday I even clocked 0 ms download. Calls sound as if you are under water. My brother has Telus (Public parent) and he could steam movies on his tablet. Now when he visits he keeps having to wait for it to buffer. As far as I can tell the signal travels through the Bell local tower to Montreal before bouncing back to me - so it is any guess where the problem lies. Telus? Bell? Public? Your guess. Neighbor can see tower and she has Bell's super WiFi internet. She normally has 27 gbs second but even that has dropped to a still decent 21 gbs... Certainly a major problem with the network. Starting to feel as if I've been had...

No issues. Decent signal strength is a necessary but not condition for good data speed.
