Hello everyone:
I switched to PM few months ago and I have been trying since to convince my family and friends to switched to PM. First, thing they ask me is that they have never heard this company no advertising etc.
My question is why not PM advertise little more so people becomes aware of this company.
Any idea?

PM is a web based company but they didn't even place an ads on Google? It is not that expensive. I think it is mainly because PM has no resources!
I feel Telus DON'T care a thing about Public Mobile (As long as PM don't lose money), zero resources from Telus. Obviously, Telus loves Koodo much more than PM. 😞

In order for us to have such awesome savings, they would have to cut on advertising costs. In place of this, we have an amazing referral program as a form of advertising, which is a win/win for both current customers and the company.

Thanks again community.

We have to sometimes help others within this community forum and outside the forum. I am custodian to a lot of accounts. Once they are up and running, the amount of maintenance is negligible.

PM is web based, there's no store no kiosk no call center. It keeps the busness overhead low and our phone plan cost low. As above have mentioned, PM does advertise on twitter, instagram and other social media. Welcome to the IT generation!

@ech_786 Best way to sell it to your family and friends, is that PM is basically telus but cheaper!

As many have already said, the Public Mobile business model differs from that of the traditional carrier. There are no physical stores, no toll free numbers to call. At the end of the day, the best advertisement is word of mouth.

If you think about it, Public Mobile's advertisement is basically Telus' advertisement but with a logo swap and price lowered. Cause these two are essentially the same.

@ech_786 PM is a "No Frills" provider, great reception, great customer service model, but the advertisement budget for TV and those things im sure is not there. Telus seems to push itself and Koodo much more.

It is probably part of their business model. As well being part of Telus would you advertise a really low cost competitor compared to your main business. As stated I think they target other low cost customers as with it being pre-paid and no credit check that is a draw for some people htat would not qualify for a post paid plan

They advertise on social media (twitter, FB, instagram etc) mostly targeting Wind customers.
