Adding Data to Plan Mid-cycle

I just got a new phone that shoud actually be able to use data (finally)! I'd like to add data to my plan. I know I can do add-ons, but my cycle just started and I'm on a 90-day plan (I don't pay again until mid-April). Is there a way to update my plan and just pay the difference?

They got back to me, and were incredibly helpful. I now have data up and running.

Unfortunately, the only ways to add data are buying a data add on and renewing the plan to one with data.  No guarantees, you may try messaging the moderator team to see if they will provide some goodwill that will allow an early plan change without incurring double costs.  Doesn't hurt to ask nicely.
