Plan Clarification

Hi,

I'm travelling to US soon and I need to know if I can use my plan in US without adding roaming plan  or incurring additional costs.

20GB of data for use within Canada, US & Mexico at 5G speed up to 250 Mbps¹

Unlimited Canada, US & Mexico minutes and messaging plus unlimited international text and picture messaging²

the plan you have entitles you to use your Public Mobile service whilst in Canada as well as US and Mexico....without any added roaming costs or overages. Make sure you enable roaming in settings. For best talkability in US, you must have a cell that is on the Public Mobile VoLTE whitelist...otherwise talk will fail...data and messaging will still work.

When you get to US border, you get a Welcome to US message with a nag to buy a talk add-on...just ignore that nag as you're already covered.

Yes, you will need to enable Roaming while in the USA to connect to PM’s USA partners.

But first check to see if your phone is VoLTE compatible to make and receive calls. Here is more information on VoLTE:

So check the IMEI of your phone to see if it is compatible.
