Try To Purchase Add-Ons Using Your Self-Serve Account

To purchase Add-Ons using your Self-Serve account, follow these steps:

  1. Click on ‘Purchase Add- Ons’ on the Overview tab and scroll down to the Add-On calculator.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) to add and the minus sign (-) to remove selected Add-ons.
  3. When you’ve added all your desired Add-Ons, click ‘Buy Add-Ons’ or ‘Make a Payment’ below the calculator:
    • You will see ‘Make a Payment’ instead of ‘Buy Add-Ons’ if there are not enough funds in your account to make the purchase.
    • If you don’t have sufficient funds to purchase the Add-Ons, you will be asked to make a one-time payment equal to the price of the Add-On, less your current available funds. Click ‘Submit’, then ‘Go back’: now the button below the calculator will say ‘Buy Add-Ons’.
  4. Select ‘Confirm my purchase’, and you’re off to the races!
  5. after you Add-on you have to do Rebooting your phone

    what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

@Sam_Tatatoapik

I made the same mistake on my phone the other day and got my money back after 30 minutes from CS.

But, if like @esjliv mentioned, you see the $20 still in your Available funds, you don't even have to contact them. Just go back to the add-ons page to buy the correct add-on, the money will be taken from your balance.

If you still see the $20 in your Available Funds area then you really did not add the addon to your account yet.

These funds can be used to purchase the correct addon.

Go back to the addon section and select the one you want.

If you do see the addon listed under your Overview section and you have no use for it, then you could see if the CSA's can reverse that for you and put those funds back onto your Available Funds area to be put to use for you.

Contact CSA by either 2 ways, found here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/contact-a-moderator

@Sam_Tatatoapik

No worries. We all make mistakes. If you submit your support ticket now you will probably have a reply in a couple of hours when the CSA's start their day. Welcome to public mobile!

Thank you

@Sam_Tatatoapik

That's ok. It's an honest mistake. Contact customer support and explain that you accidently purchased the US roaming data add on instead of the $15/1gb data add on. The CSA will credit your account. If you can wait til morning then the CSA will also add the correct data add on for you.

If you can't wait then add enough funds to your account to purchase the $15/1gb data add on and select it and confirm and submit your purchase. The $20 credit can be used to pay for your plan on your next renewal.

Click on the chat bubble at the bottom right corner of your screen and type "account related issue" and "human" and follow the prompts to submit your ticket via Simple--Simon. Keep an eye on the envelope icon at the top right corner of your screen next to your avatar for a little number to pop up indicating a reply from a CSA. Responding promptly will speed up service times.

@Sam_Tatatoapik If you bought a $20 data add-on, you can't use it in Canada. That's only for the U.S.  The data add-ons for Canada are $5 or $15.

@Sam_Tatatoapik Are you in U.S.?  There's no $20 add-on to use in Canada.
