When going through activation process, I got impatient and started activation prior to receiving notice from previous provider. Now unable to activate as sim already registered. Any suggestions as to how to go forward?

can't you put your old sim card back to get the porting text? or if old carrier has eSIM, just reenable it on the phone
and your PM sim is already register, you can test to see if it works, you don't have to "reactivate" it
but you can also ask PM to help and check
