I just switched from freedom to Public. My phone can send/receive texts  to/from my other phone which is also on Public but will not send/receive to other providers to take incoming calls. Any ideas ?

@Charles69

More details would be helpful.

Might be a porting issue.  If porting issue, you should be able to send texts and call out, but unable to receive texts or calls.  If you put your Freedom mobile SIM card back to your phone, does it still work?

Maybe try rebooting your phone.  Network reset of phone.

@Charles69

Porting a cell number to another cell provider can take 2-3 hours.

INCOMING calls are usually the last to port over.

So if you DID approve the port via a text from Freedom and you are within this time period, it should complete soon.

DO NOT cancel your Freedom account, as a port will not complete if the other account gets cancelled. Freedom account should automatically be cancelled with the port is complete.

@Charles69  did you reply YES to the Freedom text to approve the port to PM within 90 minutes?

If not, your port could be stuck.

If issues porting or transferring a number to Public Mobile, submit a ticket here for help: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/chatbot.html?botId=ZJkWuVb7Hp6EEcTIZKMZbvLwuDV&duid=1ml7MK2dvkmM37lFcEM...

Also - try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a few minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode

*reset network settings

EDIT: I also private messaged you the Porting Phone Number incase this was an incomplete port.
