Activation not working

Hi 

I am new to public activated my SIM card an hour ago and my new number is not working.

How long do I have to wait before my phone number will work??

you getting new number, so can you call *611.

your credit card is be charges,

 

tried turn off device and take out SIM card and put it back. 

@Jeff16   If it still not working, check if it says "Sim not provisioned" or "No network", it is possible that the sim card wasn't provisioned properly. 

 

You can open a ticket with PM support to have them to re-provision the sim card:

1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗" 

2. If you don't have access to My Account or have trouble with Chatbot: Private message CS Agent at: 

      https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437


**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply you there

Hi Jeff16, 

 

I had the same problem when I activated my Public Mobile SIM card. Not to worry though, give it a few hours and it will work. Like softtech said, if you picked a new number instead of porting it should work. Just give it some time.

@Jeff16   You picked a new number instead of porting, right?

 

If that is the case, try to reseat the sim card once more.  Power down, take sim out for a minute before you put together and power up again

 

If still does not work, try to put your PM sim card in another phone and see if it works
