Hi, I lost my phone and just got a new one with a new SIM card. How do I activate the SIM while keeping my old number and plan?"

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I activated/subscribed a new plan. What do I do since I’ve done that?

Do not try to "activate" / "subscribe" new plan with the new sim

instead, you just need to ask PM to help you to go into your existing PM profile and update the sim card

 Since you cannot properly login, you won't be able to open the preferred Chatbot ticket.  So, you will need to message them here:

Hi, I recently lost my phone and had to get a new phone along with a new SIM. Since I was issued a new SIM, I had to choose a new phone number. However, I would like to keep or recover my original phone number from my lost phone, which was also with Public Mobile.

Could someone please guide me on how I can go about getting my old phone number back?

First download the PM app on your new phone then login to your account account on the app. Go to the Account tab>Change  Your SIM Card. Simple as that.

Just login My Account, go to Profile page and click the pencil to the right of Sim card number and update it

If you have trouble receiving 2FA SMS, click Didn't Receive Code or Resend code and choose Send email or Send Voice message

Hello @Jay58 

Just log into your account and change the SIM card number. Here's the direct link.

https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/profile/change-sim-number

When you try logging in, it may try sending the code to your phone. Since that's not an option, you can click on Didn't get the code... and have it sent to your email or voicemail. You'd just need to call your number and fetch it from your VM.
