Activate from the USA?

I'm currently in the USA and plan to come back to Canada later this year. I want a Canadian number and I don't mind activating a roaming plan from time to time.

A friend will ship the SIM card to me.

I'm wondering if I can activate the SIM from while in the USA?

I have a Canadian credit card, fyi.

If you are porting an old number then no because you need to reply to the text with the old SIM in your phone.

But if you are picking a new number then it is possible but you will need to purchase a US Roaming plan for it to work.

I'm not sure you can activate PM service when you're in USA. You'd better activate it when you come back Canada.

you should be able to. I would activate a PM sim when you get closer to date when you'll be in Canada.
