Hi, I want to activate my SIM card but only use pay-per-use add-ons (e.g., the $5 for 500 minutes) without purchasing a monthly plan. Could you assist me with this setup?

@chill_guy You might want to consider the $100 a year plan from Telus, which gives 400 minutes of calling and 400 texts a year with no data. However, they currently have a promotion that gives you unlimited calling and texting and 2GB of data a month for a year before it reverts back to the 400 + 400. See details here:

Okay I guess I won’t be using this sorry for the inconvenience. I just don’t wanna pay 20$ a month if I only use my number during emergency which is only 20mins a month

Unfortunately, chat gtp was wrong. Public mobile does not offer pay as you service.
The cheapest plan with Public mobile is $19/month for 1GB data and unlimited talk and text.

That's not permitted...you must download the PM app to activate a new acct and select a plan of your choice. You need a regular plan before you can take any add-ons. Cheapest option to day is $19 / 30 days of Canada wide talk/text and a bit of data. (with all current offered plans, you don't need the $5 / 500 minute add-on as all plans have unlimited Canada wide calling)
