I had the wrong password in my auto fill, did the reset thing, and somehow managed to screw that up, and now I've gotta talk to public to unlock sooo help?

Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent. Also keep an eye on the envelope, the mods answer will show up there. Once it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue.
If you need to, you can also enable email notification to receive a private message notification sent to your email. Go to your community account > my settings > PREFERENCES > Private Messenger > enable "Receive email notifications for new private messages" > Save

For some reason my responses with the direct link to moderators are whipped out as soon as I post them, but that's the only way to contact moderators without access to the account. I don't unesete why would it be discouraged.
Another way you can access it is to go to private messages (little envelope right upper corner) and address your message to Moderator_Team

@Cbrown58 Hello if you wait for an hour should be able to try again if that doesn’t work click on the?bottom right hand corner and asked Simon the bot that you would like to speak to human ask them to reset your password Response time is usually 2 to 48 hours good luck

Try clearing cache files, and using incognito mode. If all else fails...wait for an hour and retry then.
