Just made an account yesterday (August 16, 2025) and subscribed to a plan. It said my phone was compatible with esim, so I chose that option, but my phone cannot download esim, even from qr code in email. When logging into app, it is stuck on trying to download the esim. I need a physical sim card and cannot even purchase that when logging into my account online, as it will not let me input my address.

Just note, none of us are employees for the company. We are all customers like you.
When you get a response back from a CS Agent, advise them you've changed your mind and you'd like to cancel the subscription since you haven't activated it yet. They are obligated to do so. With regards to your phone number, that's another thing. If it's already successfully ported to Public Mobile, it's now with them and you may have to swallow whatever fee you paid and then activate your account. Then you can port out to that other company at the end of the cycle if you choose. Did you get a port request from the service you're with now? If so, did you say YES? If you haven't replied yet, you can say NO and the number will still be with them. But if you said yes, the number may already be with PM. Make sense?

I would suggest you dial 611 or call 1-855-4PUBLIC to check on the status of your account. If it is active then just have the other carrier port your number over to them and it will automatically cancel your PM account.
If it indicates that the system can’t find your number then porting was not completed and still with your previous carrier so the old SIM/eSIM should still be working.

Try rebooting your phone before login on the PM app.
On your phone, look for the Add eSIM and see if the eSIM is added.

Please contact a CS Agent to resolve this.

You will need to private message customer service agent. It may take a few hours for response since weekend response times are slower.
Send a private message to CSA through the following link :

Shipping times for SIM cards are put to 10 business days to arrive (sometimes even longer). The quickest way is to purchase a physical SIM card at a corporate Telus or Koodo store. Keep the receipt and PM should re-mburse. Once you get response from CSA, you can give them the physical SIM card number and CSA can complete the activations, etc.
