5G SiM card?

Trying to figure out if my SIM from public will work on a new phone that is 5G...current phone is not (Samsung S10)

All the information my phone give me about the sim is that it is  LTE

Do I need a 5G phone before it tells me if it's compatible or not.

Whay would the process be? Just order a new one from PM? I can keep my number right?

no need sim card needed, it is the phone that will handle 5G network, the sim just for accessing the network.  Same sim card will work for all 3G/LTE/5G networks.

Your LTE phone won't be able to use 5G network, but you can still subscribe the 5G plan, because the 5G plan is about speed only, not the use of network.  5G plans will give you a top of 200 Mbps , you can use your LTE phone to use the LTE network and will bee able to get to that top speed as well

SIM card is not related to service.

If provider offers 5G then any SIM and service with the provider will work. Same as changing plans does not affect your bonuses nor add-ons.
