The calls are made using 3G or LTE. The 4G plans only refers to the speed in which you will use for data. When you make a call do you only see 3G or does it switch to LTE?
If only 3G, you will have issues with your phone on Public Mobile making voice calls as they are slowing moving away from this.

What phone do you have?
Go to Connection -> Network mode and change to Manual, choose LTE or 4G
