2FA code being sent to unknown number

Poontyhome

Hi all,

I've been getting a issue where the 2FA number associated with my account is some completly unknown number. I've had this issue since I made my Public account however it used to let me bypass it by using my email as a 2FA method. This was strange at the time as I made a brand new account when I activated the service and did not manually put a 2FA number in.  Is there any way I am able to change the 2FA number at all or have any access to my account as I am currently signed out. Thanks.

Hello @Poontyhome

Oh of course. What's probably happened is when the account was set up, it was set up on a temporary number and it's going to that. To change the number it goes to is super easy. Just log in, then click on this direct link.

https://eversafe.id.telus.com/user/selfservemenu

Click on the arrow at the far right to where the number shows there and then the next page, change the number. Easy as that.

@Poontyhome

yes, you can update the 2FA back to the correct phone number

login My Account first (I assume you can still receive 2FA via email).  Then go to Profile > Manage EverSafe ID and update the phone number
