I got the following text message today and had a question: "Public Mobile here. We've got a great deal for you. Get 5GB of data at 3G speeds of up to 3gbps for only $25/month."
Some questions:
1. Does this include text or call or is it just 5 GB for $25/month?
2. Does the plan last forever even after the promo deal ends as long as I apply before the deadline?

I also got this offer a little over a month ago and it just started today! I can confirm that this plan includes
5GB of data
unlimited canada-wide calling
unlimited canada-wide messaging
Unfortunately, it does not come with unlimited international messaging. However, I’d say that this deal is really good if you aren’t looking to spend $40+ on a monthly phone plan! Your rewards can also be applied (e.g. $2 off autopay, $1 off loyalty etc) Hope this helps!

UPDATE: After 1 day post offer expiration the new plan is now visible in both subscription and upcoming payment sections. It seems that PM does a batch add to all those who accepted once the offer has expired.

Since the offer deadline was just yesterday, I wonder if PM is doing manual adds of these to those accounts accepting the offers. I was going to submit a ticket but wanted to get some community feedback before from those who previously one of these targeted promos.

@hTideGnow it just shows the current subscription. Nothing pending. Even the upcoming payment for next months still shows the current plan.

After saying YES I assume this was something automagically done in the PM backend and is not visible via the online site? I said YES to the offer last week and got the confirmation text reply but there is nothing visible in online account. Just curious. Subscriptions renews later next week.

2. yes, technically last forever. But like all carriers, PM reserves the right for price increase with sufficient notice ahead

PM refers to points with all new messaging. Unless you switch to the points program you can safely ignore all of that messaging as you remain grandfathered on the $$ rewards program which is much better than the points program. Do not switch as it's irreversible.

I still get my $2 for auto pay. I still get my $4 for loyalty and still get all my referrals. You don't lose a thing. Just NEVER EVER EVER switch over to the new rewards program.

1.) Yes. It's basically the current $25 plan but with 5gb instead of 1gb.
2.) Yes....kinda. As long as you don't change plans it should remain the same but as per the pm ToS they reserve the right to make changes to your services with 30 days notice either by notification of their choosing (text or email) or by posting the change at publicmobile.ca/plans. By topping up your account or renewing your plan services after pm gives notice you agree to the new service terms.
Public mobile changing your plan services or price has only occurred a few times in the past. (Most recently in the spring of 2022 when they imposed an unjustified 30% rate hike to the $10 50/50 legacy plan.)

Yes for call and text included and Yes on number 2.
