Assuming it is a stuck/hung port, if you have an spare phone to use you can put the old SIM in it and use it to at least receive calls and texts while using your main phone with teh PM SIM in it for everything else.
Means carrying two phones around but at least you can get some benefit from the new plan until the port completes.
