1st generation Motorola smart phone

I have a current 1st generation Motorola smart on a current 1gb subscription.

I would like to update to gigabyte to either 3 gigabytes or 4 gigabytes.

My question is, I am able to load the higher gigabytes (compatible) on my 1st generation Motorola smart phone without any problem?

As long as your first generation Moto phone operates on 3G. It will work but keep in mind the 3G will be discontinued in 2025 so it will operate for 1 more year then you have to upgrade to a phone with 4G/LTE and 5G.

if your current phone works on PM network without issue with both voice and data, then it will continue working well with other PM plans

Not sure what exact model your phone is, but there is a chance your phone will be using the data on the same 3G network even you upgrade it with 4G or 5G plans.  But it will work, just the speed will be capped at the max speed on 3G network
