I can't remember what the communication was from Public Mobile but I believe I've been moved from the legacy $15 plan to a new $18 plan. Is this compulsory? Are we not permitted to remain on the $15 plan? Additional question. I'm reading that there is a new $15 plan with 500MB of data availabe with conditions. Can I get an explanation for that also?

When you click on change subscription and scroll down you ll see $19 plan for 1GB data and unlimited calling canadawide and some international minutes too 250.
right beside that plan you ll see $18 for 1GB data and unlimited calling canadawide and no int'l minutes.
thats what I saw in one of my line's change subscription page.

hi @Rajaji
many mentioned that before.
But that $15 plan rule is for major carriers like Bell, Telus, Rogers and SaskTel only, not minor carriers or prepaid carriers like Public Mobile.
if you need the $15 plan, check with Telus, it still offering that

@mdlbarata wrote:Based on the info you've provided, it looks like I'm on the legacy $15 plan because I still have only 100 outgoing minutes and 250MB data while I pay $18/month. If this is the case, I should change my plan to the $18 plan so that I can receive unlimited Canada wide and 1 GB of data. Correct?
That is correct. I am thinking of the same.
I read somewhere long back that a provider should have a $15 plan in their option list. May be old rule and now obsolete.

That's correct. Log in to your Public Mobile account > Subscription and Add-ons > Change Subscription...there, you can select a new plan of your choice... you can opt to Change Plan Now OR Change on Renewal. I suggest you change on renewal.

Are you certain that my $18 plan includes 1GB of data. There is no indication anywhere that my plan includes 1 GB data. Also, if I begin the process of changing plans, one of the plans available for me to switch to is an $18 plan with 1 GB (the same one you referred to).

anyone on the legacy $15 plan was migrated to the new $18 plan with talk and 1GB data. If you just opted to stay with old $15 plan with limited calling minutes...you still must pay $18 plus tax. Best to take new $18 plan with talk/text and 1 GB data instead.
Any $15 plan is only available to new subscriber.
