What should I purchase Ipad Air 3 or Ipad 8th generation

Does anyone have any opinions on which tablet to buy.

It is for school. Ipad Air 3 or Ipad 8th generation. I will be using a pencil with the tablet.

The Ipad Air, I can get for around $520 with 64 GB.

The Ipad 8th generation for around $420 with 32 GB.

I read about some defects in some Ipad Air models called the "white spot". I am not sure how prevalent this defect is.

So tonight, I went and purchased the IPad 8th generation. I really wanted the IPad Air 3, but I did not want to deal with the “white spot” problem discussed on the internet. Now just waiting for my third party pencil to arrive from Amazon and I’m off to the races.

@JK8 These days you'll likely appreciate the extra space, so also consider 8th gen 128 gig @ $549.
