Recently returned after serving a tour in Ukraine.
I notice many private messages in my inbox, sent by "Anonymous", titled "A Private Thread", summarized with "The message has been deleted". I cannot click any information from them, I cannot reply to them.
I'm guessing they were sent by user(s) who have been banned from the community? Did I miss some sort of change in policy or just another episode of the usual public internet forum upheaval? Mainly curious about whether or not important things have been changed which I should advise to any future referrals.
(On an unrelated note: I notice a number of significant and welcome improvements in the Self-Serve portal. Still no PUK but otherwise very comprehensive and potentially useful. Thank you, Public Mobile.)

I wasn't military. I wasn't combat. I was (usually) far, far away from conflict zones. I never carried a weapon.
I'm a BMET/EE. With a lot (too much!) industrial millwright experience. I was hired to help them rebuild and retool factories which manufactured medical equipment and other things (some for military use, some for civilian use, some for export).
Although, yes, it does take courage to go fight in "somebody else's" war zone. I met a lot of Canadians and other foreigners who volunteered for it, I saw enough of the aftermath to think they're crazy but I respect what they're doing.

That takes some courage to go out to a war zone as anything can happen. It's always sad to hear that some leaders are so power mad that they do not give a second thought to all those poor people including innocent children that become the victims of this blood thirsty power trip. It was sad to hear that some Canadians lost their lives recently in this horrible war.

lol ... LTE phones and networks launched in Canada in 2011-2013. I would be astonished if people are still using 3G phones from that era which completely lack basic 4G/LTE compatibility.
When did 3G-only devices drop off the market? Probably enough years ago that their batteries would be completely discontinued and completely dead from old age by now.

HI @Korth
Welcome back!
not much going on in the last 6 or 7 months.
Major thing is the VoLTE. PM started rolling out VoLTE, but not every device can take advantage yet. There is no official words from PM in the Community here. All we see is one from the Help section of PM sites

I left (in a bit of a rush) last September, I've been back for a few weeks now. Just started poking around Public Mobile again a few days ago.
I think I know which banned user sent me those messages, and I definitely cannot read them or see anything more about their contents than already described. Public Mobile evidently nuked them hard.
But I'm not really interested in forum drama. I wonder if there's been important changes to terms of service, policies, rules, stuff like that. Did I miss any famous promos or new developments?
The first thing I did was check out Self-Serve, of course. I notice many changes, they probably trickled in subtly but seeing them all at once after a period of absence really makes the differences noticeable.

hi @Korth how long you have been away?
in this year or two, while many account might have been banned, they were from 3 active members only. 2 of them became Anonymous and one still have the name here.
But i think the message wont' be deleted, you will just see it as from Anonymous and you cannot reply
