I want to transfer from public mobile to freedom without changing current number. Can I do myself?

Lol....as soon as I entered my yard it became a freedom dead zone and was one of the reasons I switched one of my accounts to pm 3 years ago. To be fair once Shaw bought freedom they began to install more towers and by mid year 2020 a new tower a few blocks away eliminated the dead zone my home was in but by then it was too little too late.....

Sharing from Vancouver: before switching. Having been with Freedom many frustrating years, I switched to PM 2 years ago for the better. In Vancouver to many (roaming) times with Freedom there's dead zones and / or roaming on Telus' network. Now on PM I'm always on the Telus network✌️

You can file a complaint with the ccts to recover your refund. Providers are not supposed to deny the ability to cancel your plan or contract within 15 days. If you made this request via email or over the phone with freedom customer support there will be evidence to prove when you made the request and when they denied you this option. This contravenes the WCC and your rights as a customer. You will need to contact freedom mobile first to try and settle the matter by demanding a refund of the services paid and quoting the relevant info from the WCC. If you tell them that you will be filing a complaint with the ccts if they do not refund the planned services it may likely give them enough push to issue you a refund as it would cost them more money to contest your ccts complaint.

Be careful to switch to Freedom! The freedom service attracted me by claiming its 5G data with the 29$ plan available all over Ontario claimed in the contract. Yet, last weekend, it was so frustrating that just drving to around Kingston, no service available on highway. I was lost and unable to find the scheduled exit at night. The worst was: when I wanted to cancel the service within 15 days as promised to receive the full refund, the sales representative denied but saying to continue to use the service till the end of the cycle and the service will automatically cancelled. Freedom, the worst service I have never met!

You can do everything by yourself.
In order to transfer (port) PM number out you have to:
- Open account at another provider and confirm it is working as expected (SMS/calls/data)
- Keep PM account active: both accounts have to be active in order to port
- Initiate porting at new provider
- Keep PM SIM in your phone as you will receive porting authorization request from PM
- Answer Yes within 90 minutes
- All done. If everything worked as expected your PM number will be transferred to new provider and PM account will be immediately closed. You will not have access to it anymore. Good practice is to remove autopay and ask agent to remove your credit card from PM file, just in case to avoid accidental billing.
