Whose the pm bean counter who thought up the idea of not allowing their customers to downgrade to cheaper plans or similar priced plans with different features? I only have 4 plans to choose from in my account and can't even select the $35 can/us/mex bf deal let alone the cheaper ~$20 plans. Starting to hate pm now.

They should just let existing customers have the same plans as the new customers...

Nope, but I see a new $40 plan 🙄

Maybe this may make you happy——>I just noticed that I’m offered a $29 5g 10 gb plan. Check your account and find out if you also have this offer.

As a "general rule", PM will not offer a plan to an existing subscriber that is cheaper than their existing plan.
There are rare exceptions. In your case, because of Black Friday, you have a limited opportunity to downgrade to $30. If you can live with the data and speed, you should do it. It is always easy to subscribe to a more expensive plan. But some people discover that they are paying for more than they need.
FYI, if you are a current subscriber on a $29 plan, PM is currently offering a $25 10GB 4G plan. My wife just changed on renewal to this plan.
If you do drop down to $30, consider whether you need the extra data or Mexico of the $35 plan. That will cost you extra $60 per year. Good luck.

Why torture yourself and not just get the plan you want and be happy?

@shabby Yes it’s guaranteed and it will work because you be on lower priced plan at that point to switch to higher priced plan because PM dosent really want folks downgrading plan price and don’t mind them upgrading plan price check here

Is that a guarantee? Why would I need to switch plans to see another plan?
11-22-2024 03:32 PM
@shabby I hear ya , but you can always just switch to the $30 plan immediately and then the $35 MEX plan will become available to you to schedule plan change to for the next renewal

And lose my points? No way.

@shabby One can always port out and back in on new PM account and get the desired plan

Congratulations on being able to convince PM to reverse a price increase. But then why not enjoy this price victory and why are you concerned with switching to a more expensive plan? As I previously tried to explain— it’s all about the fact that PM is giving us many plan choices that has many confused as to why they selected a phone plan in the first place. I don’t mean to criticize your logic because I’m also guilty of falling into the same trap. When I ported to PM a few months ago I was very happy with my new plan and bragged about it to friends and relatives about my new very affordable great working PM plan. However now - just like the mouse— I’m searching and switching plans mainly because PM is offering me the opportunity.
Just to make it clear I am very happy that I ported to PM .

Give a mouse a cookie and it will ask for milk? Give the mouse a round of applause, I would do the exact same thing, if you don't ask you'll never get anything. How do you think we got public Mobile to reverse a price increase a long time ago?

Pause a moment and think as to why you’re frustrated with PM. Is it maybe, as the case with many including me, because we are given many plan choices? It’s something like the saying about - give a mouse a cookie it will then ask for some milk.

sorry, nothing much you can do. We can't change how PM set the system
