Any chances that public mobile will or planning to offer Wi-Fi calling in future. Like fm. Also is that right Wi-Fi calling only work if you buy a phone from carrier. If that's true then its more likely pm won't ever offer Wi-Fi calling since its all byod plan. ? Or is there a way around and chances of getting Wi-Fi calling in future. Just curious

I think freedom is the only one to restrict wifi calling. Rogers, bell, ect I believe are unrestricted. Pretty stupid in my opinion how freedom restricted it. But wifi calling might be pretty far down the list. We are using a no frills service

It could come (it sucks though), same as VOLTE, but only once it becomes standard and forsure koodo will have to have it. I don't know exactly how public mobile works when it uses telus system, but I am sure it isn't too hard to implement.

For all new customers your ideas are good ones and have been brought up many many times in the Ideas Lab already.  If you joined PM without doing a little research about what the company is about or how it runs and then think that you will be able to get many features that other providers have.  You must remember that this is a low cost service.

As @ShawnC13 mentionned, A LOT of those ideas are already mentionned before, and honestly WIFI Call is not really on the top list of priorities for either PM or a lot of PM members, I mean sure, we like it if available but if not, it is not really the end of the world

I agreed:)

Lol I think for fm its a big deal since broken reception since I moved to pm I don't even remember if I had any call drop or reception issues even in underground parking lots so 100 percent agreed Wi-Fi calling suites fm but pm its doesn't required required thanks to solid reception.

This type of feature only matters when the network is tiny and full of cover holes. Why is connection to Wi-Fi for a call needed when there is a cellular connection? If I want to make a data call on Wi-Fi, I can launch hangouts and call. No need to rely on my carrier.

I've also noticed that sometimes wifi calling would have issues and cut in and out. Reception has always been better without wifi calling. I'm only interested in volte.

Not sure if we're talking the same thing but honestly I use Lebara for Wi-Fi or data call to landlines from Canada to Europe. For a cent a minute or so. I find it often useful as they don't have whatsapp or similar but I can call that way. I also use it to bypass international long distance fees. You can use it via Wi-Fi or using your data plan.

Hope this helps. Google Lebara Canada.

Actually, I think PM should have the option for Either Wi-Fi Calling &/Or Network-based as well

Besides, I think CERTAIN Frills maybe necessary. & I mean CERTAIN ones. Not ALL
