Ok this might sound a bit mean but I am at wits end with this other thread:

http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/Is-it-a-mistake-or-fraud/td-p/53432/jump-t...

It seems like people are so paranoid about scams these days that even when other users try to explain what is happening it gets lost in the background noise

Now I am NOT advocating taking away people's bravo points, but really there should be some way we can vote down incorrect info so people do not keep a thread going

Bravos are not upvotes. Its kinda thanks or likes for providing useful info.

@NDesai A bravo is not an upvote per se, but if a correct answer is posted one would expect to have the most bravo posts in general. But sometimes this not only does not happen, but some threads (such as the one I linked to) go way off into left field.

Public has the capability to mark solved / correct posts so there should be a way to mark an answer as being incorrect (certainly makes things easier for new users as well).

Think about a site like Best Buy or Amazon or even those sites like Yelp. The general public can vote if a response is useful or not, and if enough vote it down, it does not appear as new post etc so less people click bait to it.

This is an interest idea, @kav2001c!  I do notice sometimes misinformation is posted, so it would be helpful to be able to deal with that.  I'm not sure of the best mechanism for it, but it would be nice to see something put in place

I like the voting idea. I am new to this community forum but have notice a couple of things. Some people are just post and don't actually read the question or information posted by the OP. Having a vote up/down system generally allows good posts to surface and drop bad ones. It'll still be a community effort to police it.
