Why not sell the SIM cards through a vending machine placed at major malls, telus offices/stores, and/or at points of entry like the Airport (particulary when you start taking international credit cards)? This would provide another option for those intersted in trying your service, but don't want to wait for mail delivery.

Because vending machine co's would want a slotting fee.  Also it doesnt make sense for Telus' stores to be selling the cards as it would be inner competition for the same level of cellular service.  also airports would be terrible as again the slotting fees would be too much.

Why don't sell cards at convenience store (like Shoppers) or supermarket (like Walmart)?

because again  these retailers would want a potion of the profit to support them carrying your product thus increasing overheads and other costs which in turn get passed onto you

I agree with @jlm1991.

Although it would add convenience it's not worth the potential change in cost to the customer.

TELUS would never carry Public Mobile SIM cards, TELUS offers their own prepaid, TELUS stores do not stock Koodo SIM's so they have no reason to offer products from one of their other sub-brands.

I made that suggestion already myself

Actually couldn't it be a net break even if convenience stores carried them? Canada Post shipping isn' free, they could just allocate what they would spend on that to the retailer instead of on shipping couldn't they?

Or alternatly on the vending machine slotting fee.

I love the idea too! Think of the airports or train stations. PM has great short term plans for visitors.

I was hoping these vending machines would be available at places like train stations and airports. Walmarts are not very accessible without a car.
