Suggestions for Community forum improvements

I read in the website announcement that PM is working with Lithium on making changes to the forum.  
I would like to start this thread to collect new and existing (link to other threads) Community improvement ideas that possibly PM can possibly look at when redesigning the community.

some items on my list:

 allow members to have signatures
enable macros when replying using mobile devices
enable the quote button on mobile
enable Rich Text  on mobile (might address  above two)
make add a friend visible
list threads by latest posts instead of latest topics
turn on private message notifications by default  (implemented already)
ability to delete posts

I'm not sure when it was implemented, but I discovered back in July that private message notifications are now on by default:

I like your suggestion about enabling message trail when replying to private messages.  The moderators have that on their end, but customers should have it too.

Suggestions of my own:

• Enable quoting of multiple replies from different members in the same message. (multi-quoting)
• Enable quoting of replies in Public Lab topics.

Sometimes it's useful to be able to quote more than one person in a thread, or multiple replies from the same person, without having to resort to editing.

Also, the Public Lab seems to be the only place where quoting of anything other than the original post is not enabled.  For example, in my message here, in order to quote what @Mana wrote, I had to first quote the original post by @mimmo, then edit it by copy and paste to fill it with what Mana wrote instead.  Btw, this is the same method I use to do multi-quoting in other areas of the community.

I remember, it used to be a lot easier (easily available) to view members online.

Why can't it be easily available rather than bookmarking the link on every device that you use?  its a hassle and not user friendly anymore.
