Simplify the network name?

Maybe consider to simplify the network name?

"Public Mobile" full name often get squeezed on smaller screen phone (like iPhone 6).

In my option, a simplified network name looks cleaner and nicer. 

For example:

Public Mobile --> Public

or

Public Mobile --> PM

On IPhone its like that. But on android phones like Nexus, it only shows full name on lock screen.

@echf its a good idea especially on Iphones the carrier name cannot be seen completely when looking at it. Its less of a problem on Android phones as mentioned by @NDesai above.

My question is why even need the name there?  As long as I see bars that is all that matters.

@ShawnC13 It's so you know if you are roaming. There are better ways of showing users the network they are connected to but I agree with OP. It should just say Public. Not Public Mobile.

@theoc198  wouldn't the only time you are roaming is when you are in the US and you would need to buy the roaming addon to have service anyway?
