I'd love to see a network status tab on the website. If users are unable to connect to the network or not receiving calls, messages, etc. they could visit the website and check the current network status to see if the problem is just with their phone or the Public Mobile network in general.

Yes, me too, provided of course that it's actually real- or near-real-time.  Nothing worse than outdated status info!

Good point @srlawren. The page could show a timestamp for when the information was updated.

Yes, that's a good idea, and also perhaps a network map to show province/location.

I have no idea what the problem was, nor if it was Telus (or PM specific), or if it was a Bell issue, for the November 6th 2017 Ontario outage.

Looking at CanadianOutages, the Telus outage map was a yellowy orange colour, and the Bell map was bright red.

I know it's just a graphic,  but GTA was on fire yesterday according to the Bell map.

@kacey A colour-coded network map would definitely be useful!

Good idea, but I just don't have faith that this will ever come to fruition.

I would think a status tab would be useful if there were fequent outages.  but 99% of teh time it should be green/all good.  As mention in jeremey_m post about the issue a simple announcement is probably just as good combined with twitter etc.

Just one place for status is good enough.
