Network Frequency Compatibilty

Suggest PM add a detailed description of the required operating frequencies, whether 1 alone or more is needed, and if there is some other technicality that prevents a phone from outside Canada with the correct frequency operating here.

It would appear on the page that opens when one clicks "Not Found" on the IMEI page.

If memory serves me correctly, Moid authored a post, a few months back, regarding required frequencies, plus additional information. I don't have the URL.

If I may be immodest, all that a customer needs is to read what Cyber and I post with respect to the above.

As I mention before, if the phone is missing one of the frequencies it does not mean it will not work, It can still work as long as there is at least one frequency that both phone and network support.

Most networks work on 2 or more frequencies. If a phone do support one of the frequencies and not the other, you will get service, but coverage and/or signal strength may not be stable.

I find your idea is realllly important of showing the correct frequency in case the IMEI tool indicated that the phone is not supported.

The IMEI checker has a long history of giving false positives. That is the reason that no one recommends using it.
