I will be traveling in the USA for approximately 6 months ever year. It sure would be nice to have a monthly roaming plan... The 10 day plan is okay.. but a bit of a pain as I have to d ot every 10 days.
There has been many request regarding USA addon. Some want it for few days and some want it for long period of time. Since it was just launched few months ago, they are making it better in terms of fixing issues/bugs and i don't think any plans to change anytime soon. However, if usa addons do not lead to any issues/glitches, they will sure come up with something to make everyone happy.
A monthly US plan would garner a lot of interest from a large number of snowbirds to move to public mobile (away from Freedom) as there is no reasonable add-on for Canadian plan holders. Most people would like to take their Canadian phone number with them to the US.
I would like to suggest a dropdown for the USA add-on in 10 day increments, up to say 6 months. That way if you go to the US for say 19 days, you can select the 20 day add-on. If you go for 22 days, you select the 30 day add-on. I know it would be great to choose the exact number of days, but that is a billing nightmare for Public Mobile......but this would be fair to both Public Mobile customers and Public Mobile itself.
@ziggyp22 quite honestly anything more than about 1-2 of the 10 day add-ons needed in a row and most people would be better off picking up a prepaid SIM card from a US provider. Buying several months worth of the US roaming add-on would be pretty expensive. EDIT: PM isn't trying to be everything to everyone with this offering, they're targetting the 1-2 week US vacation or short business trip crowd primarily. Snowbirds have better options elsewhere, to be honest.
@srlawren That was ziggyp22's point. Public Mobile can't provide everything, but as he said, 10 days is much too short...increments of 10 would definitely work well. As you say, several months is not ideal either....there is a fine line in there somewhere.
