It sucks that they changed it to "Loyalty Reward: You can earn Rewards for each year you stay with Public Mobile for up to 5 years." They should change it back to that you earn rewards for each year you stay with Public Mobile up to your current plan value in rewards to reduce your payment to $0 (or that seemed to be the case either way they should not be a five year limit).

I think 5 years is actually pretty good. Add the others rewards and you can get to 0$

"Pretty good" why settle for "pretty good". Why not esculent, superb, wonderful. It is a $1 per year. It would take people over 40 years to get their just using loyalty rewards to get their rewards to be the value of any new plan being offered now (most starting price of PM new plans around $42 to $47 for 30 of services).

Now let's NOT be too Hungry for $0, I'd be happy to pay a Fraction of my 90 Day Plan, $150

Unlim Can-Wide US+Global Txt+6GB Data

IF Loyalty Rewards helped reduce it to $120, that would be a start, Then perhaps upping the Community Rewards as well might create some further savings.

BUT, Loyalty Rewards should be raised up a bit, like from $3 to perhaps $6, that might make things more bearable and foster in some ease of mind

Actually, I still think extra GB's or LD calling would be nice for each year you stick around. 2GB for 1 Year, 200 minutes LD to USA plus other places...2 years they give you 4GB and 400 minutes...something like that. And this rolls over month to month.

As it stands, you'd be dang old even if they were to give you $1 off per month per year to get your bill to $0.

@jeffster1970  Between add ons and ability to change plans to bigger packages and the existing loyalty rewards, I think to a degree we have this covered. It would be nice that they made it applicable or clarify that the loyalty rewards are for base plans and add ons and just expand the existing loyalty rewards and lower the price of add ons for them to be more easily applied to those things for the people that want them.

@danielj I think it's ridiculous to ask for the ability to get your bill down to zero dollars.  Do you want to work for free?  No?  Then why do you expect PM to do so?  Even with that in mind, it's possible to get your bill down to zero dollars already if you fairly aggressivley solicit everyone you know for the referral rewards but again can you think of other services out there that give you this option?  Does your Hydro provider start taking $$$ off every year that you're a customer and allow you to get down to zero dollars?  What about your home TV/internet/phone providers?

For a company that is increasing depending on these reward systems to keep and attract new customers, they could be improvements. Including the possibility that they could remove or increase the 5-year max for the loyalty rewards.

Public Mobile will not be giving out their plans for zero dollars without getting out benefits or value from the customer. Without getting other customers through friend referrals, help in the community or help brain storming new ideas in the community for PM to consider possibly implementing. There being a key difference between zero dollar and zero value. Zero dollar maybe, zero value no really.

Bills down to zero are far-fetched but, it is ridiculous arguing against something that you, yourself could benefit from. As unlike as it is to happen, the worst thing that is likely to happen if somebody asks, for a better or possibly unprofitable price is that they come back and tell you no.

I'm currently in my final 30 days of my cycle, and so far, I have $20 in loyalty, community, autopay, and friend referral rewards.

Thats $20 no other service provider gives me.

Credit towards my regular service is much better than automatic LD addon, or extra data allotment.  Not every subscriber needs these addon, however, every subscriber CAN USE rewards directly towards their regular payment.

Instead of money offer features....... Canada wide calling, extra gigs, long distance talk, etc. or offer loyal customers better plans.
