I wish PM allowed PPL to reserve certain #'s.

Example: I just ported my Mama over to PM taking over my $60 Legacy, her # from VM in, The Old original # attached gone.

So, If the original # was (212)132-1313, Example, and when one ports another to assume the account, their # will be the new one, while the (212)132-1313 is sent back to the pool and can't be used until 6 months passed.

Wished we can reserve #'s we want so that we can get first dibs on them.

good idea not sure that will ever be a option. Might be too much work for the amount of people who would ever use it. Could you have not just ported your number out of PM then given your plan to your mom who would then proceed to port her own number in?

I was told by a PM rep on phone that when a # is dislodged when another # is incoming during porting, Original # is put in what's called hibernation for 6 months, during which # can't be used

ya why i suggested you port out your PM # one you want to use for yourself to new plan. Then have your mom port in her old number one she wants to keep to your old PM account which currently has no # since it was ported out

This is way too much work (I used to have RMS access through Bell and today they even stopped that for the high paying biz clients). I would appreciate if PM system gave a bit better choice in number selections however though.
