I paid for an acct. I no longer use and I need to cancel it so I can put it to my new number. How would I cancel that or transfer it over.

Since you haven’t quoted or tagged anyone you haven't helped anyone determine which response above is “what you meant”.

If you are going to be porting your number into another provider, your current account will automatically cancel, and if you just want to cancel payments, remove your payment information and your account will be cancelled.🙂

I guess another interpretation of this is that @Angie6 has one PM account In use and one unused PM account and is wanting to move something from the unused to the in use account...like an account balance maybe? Got us all guessing until we get more info from you.....

@Angie6 Are you porting in or porting out?

If porting in, you don't need to cancel anything. Porting in replaces the number and uses the same account as before.

If porting out, it needs to stay open, but remove credit from the account.

There are several interpretations open here.

What are you wanting to do?

You can port an active number elsewhere. You can port an active or suspended number to Telus or Koodo.

For pre-paid services, there's no real cancel per se. Just stop paying.

If you are going with another carrier, once you port out your number your account at PM will be automatically closed.
