So you tried the PIN# (not Voucher#) in both the 611 and self-serve?

Have you checked your Available Funds or got your balance from 611?

The pin should have been activated by now. Contact a moderator and have them add the voucher to your account.

@RosieR   I can also confirm that the PIN# works to load vouchers on the self serve and I actually wasn't even aware that there is an option to use "payment voucher number" as I'd only read on the forums to use the PIN # and assumed that was the standard.

@Anonymous just have to ask. Since you got one through with the PIN why not start the second one with the voucher number?

Good job on going out of your way to test this!

The hypothesis was that PIN worked for 611 and voucher worked for self-serve. So yes PIN worked for 611 after the voucher # did not.

So on to the self-serve. If PIN was only for 611 then it ought not to have worked for self-serve. But it did. I'm not buying any more. Somebody else can take the crutches. 🙂

Hey @RosieR : So I found the customer service desk at a Superstore (Loblaws etc) will sell a $5 voucher (not the cell shop). It's from the Blackhawk system that darlicious mentions. I bought 2. They had several 12 digit numbers. But I focused on PIN and Voucher.

After a few days, the 611 service did not like the Voucher # that I tried with the first one. I was successful with the PIN# (redundancy notwithstanding 🙂 ).

I then tried the PIN# from the second one first in the self-serve. It worked. Obviously I can't then also test the Voucher #. Maybe I'll get another $5 one and try that voucher # in the self-serve...some day. Or someone else can. I just gave PM 10 real dollars that I didn't need to. You're welcome PM. 🙂

Hi @melisseliss01 here's what I found out about paying by vouchers.  Give it a try and let me know, ok?

When paying with a voucher using your self-serve account, use the Voucher number as shown below..

When you pay with a voucher dialing 611, you will be ask "Please enter the 12-digit pin from your voucher"... so use the PIN number, as shown on Shoppers Drug Mart voucher.

To summarize:

  • Self-serve account – Voucher number
  • 611 – PIN number

Please come back and let us know what happens.  thanks in advance

There are two ways to enter a voucher (not minutes):

1. using the 611 service

2. using the self-serve

Try both. If you have multiple 12 digit numbers then try each.
