Hi Ken, If I understand your question; dialling XXX-580-4001 and receiving mailbox number prompt is requesting your phone # including area code which you can't change without changing your phone #. This is not the same as your password. If you are accessing voice mail by dialing your own number directly from your phone, you shouldn't receive this prompt, only the one for your password. Hope this helps. Rob

There was one of these voicemail problems earlier. Are you in Nova Scotia? The 778 number earlier should work. The 902 number for NS may have been re-purposed for another voicemail system.

@Ken60  - when you say 'mail box number' do you mean asking your for voicemail password?

If so, dial your own number from your Public Mobile registered device.

When in your mailbox main menu:

  1. press 4, then
  2. press 8

After pressing 8, you should hear confirmation that password is off.  To turn it back on, press 8 again.

If you didn't mean voicemail password, then please disregard.

There is a setting in you VM where you can confirm to not have to enter PIN/pw.

HI @Ken60  do you get the prompt wen you call yourself from and home phone and access the VM that way.?

Seems like you need to re-program your voice mail access number on your phone, you can use this :

778-580-4001.

or any number on the list, pick one on your area code
