unlocked samsung note9 960U phone from at&t who does the software updates

Hi,

Does anyone know if I used a note 960U that is unlocked from at&t with public mobile are the software updates on the phone for android/security updates are pushed thru by samsung? Or do i need to put an AT&T sim to do updates?

Hi!

I have used old at&t unlocked smartphones on Canadian networks and they received OS software updates while I had them. I hope that this helps

When Samsung releases new update for your Samsung note 960U.  After AT&T approves it for release, you phone will let you know to update.  You don't need to be an customer of AT&T in order to get the future updates.

@obi updates come either from samsung itself or through google play market for Android. You don't need at&t sim for this.
