unable to make phone calls with $10 30 day plan

I've been with public mobile for over 4 years, my previous plan was for $25 unlimited talk province wide and text and just recently decided to switch to the $10 30 day 50 minutes canada wide talk and 50 text msg plan. I am able to send/receive text messages fine. But everytime I dial a number the operator says "we cannot complete this call, you do not have a long distance add-on and this call is not covered by your plan. My phone number is a 905 area code, I've tried 905, 647, 416 area codes, and all say the same message. If people call me, it goes straight to voicemail. I can't access my voicemail either, it says that is a long distance call too.

Assumptions:

Your new plan has kicked in and You haven’t used all of your minutes left.

or your new plan has not kicked in yet and you are calling from Ont

It sounds like a wrong setting on your account

 

To resolve this issue you will need to send a private message to the moderator team. They are available 7 day/weeks but not 24/7. Click this: message to moderators to send a private message to the moderators.

Include your name, PM phone number, account number, 4-digit PIN and a brief description of the problem. 

 

If last week was any indication, they are about 24 to 36 hours replying. Maybe the backlog has cleared a little now.
