Hello, My husband today was set up on PM and has a new phone number etc.. (he did not transfer a number) we are good to go on the $40 plan that has 5GB of data on the 3G. He can recieve and make calls and texts and can log on to our home wifi. He has not been able to  cannot sign on to public wifi nor use/access his data at all.

When he tries to use his data the message is "Public Mobile is unavailable." Can someone please direct us how to correct this and also confirm which APN network to choose (teluslsp we presume?)

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3.

Help would be appreciated..Thank you!

APN should be sp.mb.com. The  telussp will not work because that is reserved for Telus customers only.

If they are not available yo will have to manually add them:

First go to your Android’s main Screen, then go to the Settings Screen
Under Wireless and Networks, please select More…
Now go to the option where it says Mobile Networks (Sometimes it might Say: Wireless Networks)You will now See Access Point Names, Tab on it…
Now select NEW APN and Enter the APN Settings below:

APN Settings:

Name: Mobile Internet
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMS proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

Select save.
