I have a physical sim on my old Samsung phone. I have a new i-phone 17 pro which does not use a physical sim. I want to use my i-phone with my old number. How do I convert it to e-sim

you don't need to do anything, the eSIM is installed after you click Purchase

just check Settings-> Cellular screen and it should be there.

@sebon2025

Just had a look at your previous post from yesterday.

Once you download the PM app on your new phone and purchase the eSIM.  Once the eSIM is installed (automatically), your phone number is attached to the eSIM and your phone number has then be transferred.

The old SIM card will be inactive and your old phone will be inactive.

P.S. I will combine this post to your initial post from yesterday.

existing customer and just transferring your PM phone number/account to new phone? I have bought the esim but cannot get the prompt to install

hi @sebon2025

if you bought it, the app installed for you already

just go to Sim Manager or Settings->Cellular and check if PM sim is showing there.  Make sure the Public Mobile sim is enabled , or Turn on this line  option is toggled on.  Also, change the label to Primary

Reboot your phone and Reset network settings and test and confirm if all work

I have purchased the esim but I need to know how to get it installed

Download Public Mobile ap on the new phone and login.  Then go to Account -> Purchase Sim card and choose eSIM and buy and install

if your last eSIM was bought 15+ days ago, it should be free

@sebon2025

Are you a new customer?  Just activated new eSIM/account and now want to transfer your number from another mobile company?

Or are you an existing customer and just transferring your PM phone number/account to new phone?

I have downloaded the PM app and purchased the e-sim.  on my iphone 17 pro. Please what do I do to have my old number transferred to the e-sim on my iphone

hi @sebon2025

the number is with your account.

so, all you need to do is to Download PM app on the phone, login PM app using the same email that you have been using.  After logged in, you should see your current plan. Go to Account page, click Purchase sim card and choose esim

@sebon2025

Simply, just download the PM app on the iPhone 17 Pro. Login to your account and go to Account tab-Purchase SIM Card and it will give you the option of an eSIM.

You can have the 2FA code sent to You email by clicking on Resend Code or Didn’t Receive Code to access your account on the app.

hi @sebon2025

What you need to do is to download the PM app on the new phone, login to the app.  If you have trouble getting 2FA code via text, click Didn't receive code or Resend code and then choose Send email or Send voice message to get the 2FA code via email or voicemail (you can call yourself from another phone to retrieve the 2FA voice message)

After you logged  in the app, go to Account page and choose Buy sim card and select eSIM.
