I would like to subscribe but I have another person on my current account. How do I transfer both numbers to Public and how do I ensure that Public cancels both phone numbers?

make sure you enter the correct number and the Telus account number. And no need to worry, the account won't be closed with one of the two numbers ported away as you still have another service (another phone line in your case)

I would suggest your port the secondary number over to PM first and once that is successful then port the primary number on the Telus account over.
Once porting is completed, your Telus account will automatically cancel and your current numbers will transfer over to PM.
If your phones are eSIM compatible. You can port over on eSIM.
If not, I would suggest you order your SIMs from Amazon for $5 with faster shipping. If you order from PM…it may take up to 3 weeks to arrive.

Well @Patty37 if you wish to keep your Telus number, you can port that over to Public Mobile. If your "other" person is on Telus as well and they wish to keep their number, they can port over too. My advice, sign up first, make sure everything is working such as calling texting and data. As long as those are working, then you can go into your account and port over. Once you port over numbers, they automatically cancel the other provider. So when you port to Public, it cancels your Telus account. So, sign up the others first and then port theirs. Do YOURS last since it seems your the primary on the account. Make sense?
EDIT: Do you already have the SIM cards?

Thank you for your response. I can sign us both up to Public but will I have to cancel with Telus myself because the second phone number is on my account, therefore the same email address? I guess what I'm asking is what is the best way to proceed to subscribe two people to Public and also cancel two numbers on one account with Telus?

Here at Public Mobile, there are no family accounts or group accounts. Each account is their own private account which require their own separate email address. So you can help the other person and sign them up but don't forget to use your referral code so you get the perks and they get $10 off their second month.
